These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the VeriTrust website and services (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
2. What VeriTrust provides
VeriTrust provides trust infrastructure for the agentic ecosystem, including identity and verification primitives, registries, governance mechanisms, documentation, and software tooling (such as SDKs and examples).
3. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter into a contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent you have authority to bind that organization.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data.
- Do not abuse APIs (scraping, excessive calls, denial-of-service, bypassing rate limits).
- Do not upload malware, exploit code, or content intended to harm systems or users.
- Do not submit private keys, secrets, or confidential personal data to public endpoints or registries.
- Do not publish unlawful content, or content that infringes intellectual property rights.
5. Registries and verification
Some registry data is intended to be publicly verifiable. If you publish entries, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to publish them and that they are accurate.
Verification results may depend on external systems (e.g., DID methods, issuers, revocation status). VeriTrust does not guarantee that external systems are available, accurate, or trustworthy.
6. Accounts and security
- You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and access tokens.
- You must promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
- We may suspend access to protect the Service or investigate suspected abuse.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, branding, and site content are owned by VeriTrust or licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our protected materials except as permitted by law or an explicit license.
Open-source code, SDKs, and examples may be provided under their respective licenses — those licenses control.
8. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g., registry entries). You grant VeriTrust a non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate the Service, including making public registry data publicly accessible.
9. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service. We aim to keep core trust functionality stable, but the platform can evolve.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, VeriTrust disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VeriTrust is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold VeriTrust harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
13. Compliance
You are responsible for complying with applicable laws and regulations, including security, privacy, export controls, and sector-specific requirements relevant to your deployment.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time.
15. Governing terms
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement regarding the Service, except where additional written terms apply for enterprise contracts.
